365 days (366 in a leap year), 52.143 weeks (according to HMRC), 12 Month Ends, 4 Quarter Ends, and incalculable opportunities.

This week we are celebrating one year of Clarity. And what a year it has been. But like anything good and worthwhile, this milestone, this celebration of our first year, is only the tip of the iceberg.

The hoping, the dreaming, the planning, took many, many years. Back then we didn’t know we would be ‘Clarity’ but we knew what we wanted to build- a business based on our core values- inclusiveness, transparency, excellence and fairness.

It was always ‘next year’- like Del Boy to Rodney, “This time next year…..”
But the timing was never right,  or life just got in the way- until next year finally became a reality.

It’s not been easy, setting up a business rarely is. We work with many clients starting new ventures or taking their businesses through the growth stage and it can be  tough- mentally and physically demanding and a real rest of character at times. 
So we had a fair idea of what was ahead and we had a plan, and a roadmap, but we also had a secret weapon- each other.

It’s no surprise to anyone who knows us that Donald and I are very different….chalk and cheese…. Ying and Yang… but those differences, our different skill sets, temperaments, thought processes - it works. The things I’m not good at Donald is a master of, and vice versa.

Looking back on our first year is almost a surreal experience, it’s been more than I could have ever dreamed of. Did we make some mistakes along the way? Of course! But I wouldn’t change one thing. All the hard work, the challenges, the journey to get here, has all been worth it, and I’m doing it all with my best friend. It’s been the best year of my 51 years.

And our amazing team? The same applies- we are all so different, with different personalities, strengths and skills, but we gel as a unit, with everyone working to their strengths and  building each other up.

This team, the motley crew of amazingly talented individuals are the reason we are celebrating such a spectacular first year. Their hard work, determination, enthusiasm and the way they have embraced  our vision is our secret sauce.

We will be taking some time out of the office this week to celebrate with our team and have some fun - believe me, they have earned it! And then we look forward to our 2nd year, another 365 days of untold opportunities, with excitement and anticipation.
